Job Summary:
| The Data Integrity/Identity Specialist maintains the integrity of the Master Patient Index ( MPI ) via medical record number corrections, deletions, updates, merges and additions; reviews all registration input, makes corrections and notifies proper departments as needed; resolves master patient index overlays, resolution of potential duplicate medical records and any other chart corrections as applicable. Process interface errors. Performs contact moves as necessary. In addition, the Data Integrity/Identity Specialist is responsible for coordinating and communicating with members of the clinical staff, revenue management, and information technology departments and others as needed to facilitate chart corrections. This is a remote work position.

Preferred Education/Experience:
Associate Degree in business/computer science/health information technology or health informatics preferred. Experience in medical records department of 2 years or more preferred.
