Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking an Assistant Toddler Teacher to join our team at our Ridge location. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the lead teacher in providing a safe and nurturing environment for our young learners. You will work closely with the lead teacher to develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development. Additionally, you will communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on their child's progress and address any concerns they may have.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 6+ months experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare center or comparable setting
  • Ability to pass BCI/FBI and ODJFS Background Check

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ year experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare center or comparable setting
  • Some completion of college-level coursework in Early Childhood Education or a related field
  • CPL II or Child Development Associate Certificate upon hire (CDA sponsorship available)

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the lead teacher in implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum for toddlers
  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for young learners
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on their child's progress
  • Assist with daily classroom management and maintenance tasks
  • Collaborate with the lead teacher to plan and implement engaging activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development

Skills:

As an Assistant Toddler Teacher, you will utilize your skills in classroom management, lesson planning, and communication on a daily basis. You will work closely with the lead teacher to create a safe and nurturing environment that promotes social, emotional, and cognitive development. Additionally, you will use your strong communication and interpersonal skills to regularly communicate with parents and guardians to provide updates on their child's progress and address any concerns they may have. Your ability to work collaboratively with the lead teacher and other staff members will be essential in creating a positive and engaging learning environment for our young learners.

Compensation details: 15-16.5 Hourly Wage
