We are seeking an Account Executive to drive new business growth, expand dispensary distribution, and oversee a broader sales territory. This is a strategic sales role for a highly motivated, results-driven professional with a deep understanding of the cannabis industry and a proven track record of acquiring and growing retail partnerships. The Account Executive will drive Rove’s overall success in the market by bringing on new dispensary partners, ensuring a smooth transition of new accounts to the account management team while maintaining key relationships. Additionally, this role requires flexibility in filling operational gaps, supporting account management where needed, and driving marketing opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of customer needs and be able to effectively present Rove’s products and solutions to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • New Business Development: Identify, target, and acquire new dispensary and retail partners to expand Rove’s footprint in territory.
  • Market Expansion: Develop and execute a strategy to grow market share, ensuring Rove’s products are placed in as many dispensaries as possible.
  • Strategic Sales Execution: Generate leads, schedule and conduct sales meetings, and close deals with new retail partners.
  • Smooth Account Transition: Work closely with the account management team to ensure seamless handoff and onboarding of new accounts.
  • Ownership-Level Relationship Management: Maintain involvement with dispensary owners and key decision-makers to reinforce long-term business relationships.
  • Flexible Support: Fill in operational gaps where needed, including supporting account management and assisting with marketing initiatives.
  • Understanding Customer Needs: Develop a strong understanding of retail partners’ challenges and provide tailored solutions using Rove’s products.
  • Sales Performance & KPIs: Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales goals by consistently securing new accounts and increasing sales volume.
  • Competitive Market Analysis: Stay ahead of industry trends, analyze competitor activity, and identify new opportunities for Rove.
  • Event & Brand Representation: Represent Rove at trade shows, industry events, and vendor days to generate leads and strengthen brand awareness.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, operations, and logistics teams to ensure smooth onboarding and product availability for new accounts.
  • CRM Management: Maintain detailed records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline development within the company CRM system.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 3-5+ years of proven sales experience, preferably in the cannabis industry or a regulated CPG sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to acquire new business, negotiate contracts, and drive sales growth.
  • Strong existing network within the cannabis retail and dispensary landscape is a plus.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently to meet ambitious sales goals.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Must be willing to travel extensively within the assigned territory (100+ miles radius).
  • Proficient in using CRM tools, sales reporting, and forecasting software.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable mode of transportation.

Compensation:

  • Salary Range from $70,000 - $80,000 annually, depending on experience.
  • Bonus and/or Commission based structure of up to 20% of base salary.
