Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar, has shed light on the delay in appointing ambassadors to foreign missions, citing a lack of funds as the primary reason. Speaking at a ministerial briefing on May 28 to mark President Bola Tinubu’s first year in office, Tuggar emphasized that appointing ambassadors is futile without the necessary funds to support their travel and operations. He further revealed that the current administration inherited a poorly funded federal ministry of foreign affairs.
