The authorities of Mali have decided to “immediately” sever diplomatic ties with Ukraine. The respective statement was posted on the website of the transitional government of Mali.

It states that the aforesaid decision was taken in connection with the fact that the Ukrainian side has decided to support the Tuareg, who at the end of July attacked a convoy of the Malian government troops and the Wagner Group mercenaries acting on their behalf.

“The actions of the authorities of Ukraine violate the sovereignty of Mali, are carried out in the framework of foreign intervention, and are an obvious aggression towards Mali and support for international terrorism,” noted the transitional government of Mali.

Also, it emphasized that until now they had a neutral position regarding the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, but now they consider the nature of the authorities in Kyiv to be “neo-Nazi and malicious.”

The authorities of Mali have decided to take necessary measures to prevent “any instability” in the country by other African countries “by the embassies of Ukraine in those countries” because “terrorists masquerading as diplomats” could be working there.

The government of Mali added that support to Ukraine is henceforth considered as support for international terrorism.
