A sexagenarian Ghanaian palm wine tapper, Ali Baba, and his friend, Kayode Olete (52), have stabbed each other to death after a heated argument.

A statement by the spokesperson of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), Kehinde Adeleke, said the remains of the duo were found in a pool of blood.

She explained that the two friends who were said to be living together stabbed each other until their intestines were ripped out.

Adeleke said: “On Thursday evening, around 9:05 pm, we got a report that the two friends were fighting at Baale Okunoye Compound, Inisa.

“Nobody knows what led to their fight as the house where the incident happened is isolated and dilapidated.

“Passersby later saw them in a pool of blood as they had stabbed and matcheted themselves.”

She added that the corps contacted the chairman of the LCDA and the elders of the community about the incident, adding: “When we got to the scene this morning, it was discovered that the two of them had passed on. The families of the two victims were contacted and they gave their consent for them to be buried.”
