Job Description :
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
• Extensive subject matter expertise and team lead experience with IBM z/OS mainframe and related tools/products including LPAR configuration, MQ Series, DB2 COBOL, JCL, VSAM, CICS and mainframe ISV software.
• Experience with IBM’s file structure(s): (i.e. HFS, ZFS, and PDS’s), TSO, and DFSMS.
• Experience with IBM DS89xx disk subsystems including day to day operations, replication, flash copies and immutable staging using tools like Copy Service Manager (CSM) and others.
• Experience with networking technologies that support the mainframe, i.e. Ethernet, FICON etc.
• Experience with z/OS virtualization including zLinux installation and maintenance.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to stay focused on completing tasks and meeting goals within a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with various backup solutions and strategies.
• Ability to develop, teach and mentor other members of the team.
• Strong time-management and prioritization skills.
• Ability to communicate applicable technical subject matter expertise to management and others.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Preferred
• Experience with virtual tape systems including Luminex.
• Experience with AIX.
• Knowledge of LAN/WAN/Firewall/VPN technologies.
• Experience with storage area networks. In depth knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery strategies.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to stay focused on completing tasks and meeting goals within a busy workspace.
