POSITION:

Responsible for managing warehouse operations, providing leadership and direction to increase operational efficiency and ensure a safe environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing warehouse operations including shipping/receiving,. Directs the overall transportation activities of the plant to ensure customer orders are received, scheduled, and shipped to meet the customer’s requirements while maintaining corporate established budgets and quality needs.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee daily operation of Warehouse, transportation areas and employees
• Plan and schedule transportation and personnel to meet demands of business
• Responsible for development of team including interviewing, hiring, and training employees
• Planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, reviewing and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and problems of employees
• Coordinate cross-functionally (supply chain, inventory, quality, and production) to ensure timely and accurate material supplies and order shipments
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures to ensure quality and consistency.
• Ensure all customer service and existing accounts needs are met.
• Provide leadership in the development of strategies to meet all business plan goals and objectives for current and new business opportunities.
• ·Maintain accurate receiving records and inventory counts
• Establishing a workplace culture of continuous improvement and individual initiatives
• Follow all plant safety regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices
• Required to perform other duties as requested

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Varied temperature environments ranging from refrigerated (34-36 degrees) to ambient (60-80 degrees)
• Protective gear such as gloves, work boots, and smocks required at all times.
• Will work around moving machinery and walk on wet floors.
• Moderate physical effort required.
• Regularly required to walk, reach, bend and lift throughout the day.
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred.
• Food processing/handling experience preferred
• Proven track record in warehouse and manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years of warehouse management experience required
• Must be able to operate sit down and stand up forklift, end riders, manual jack, and hand trucks safely
• Forklift operator certification can be obtained or renewed through Chairmans Foods
• Proficient with MS Office Suite ( Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Must have exceptional attention to detail
• Customer service oriented and leadership skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
