Job Description

Position: Unaccompanied Children Foster Care Case Manager

Location: Baltimore, MD

Shifts/Schedule: Core EST hours

Must Haves:

  • Licensed Master's degree in Social Work (LMSW, LCSW, LCSW-C)
  • Experience with child welfare management.
  • Fluency in Spanish and English
  • Experience working with refugee and/or immigrant populations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal communication, group leadership skills, public speaking and clinical and persuasive writing skills.
  • Active motor vehicle license, clean driving record, and a reliable automobile with adequate insurance coverage.
  • Ability to pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries.

Background Screening Requirements:

  • Obtain a negative TB Test yearly.
  • Willing and able to obtain FBI fingerprint check every 5 years.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and MVA check free of major infractions for the last 7 years.
  • Ability to travel to home visits and other service agencies to serve the client, either by own vehicle or by public transportation (train, plane, etc.).
  • Availability of a vehicle that meets safety and mechanical requirements for travel within an assigned radius.
  • Willing and able to clear a criminal background check for the past 7 years.

Day-To-Day:

Our Client is looking for an Unaccompanied Children (UC) Foster Care Case Manager that will be responsible for providing casework and supportive services to children in foster care, which includes comprehensive case management services, bi-weekly home visits, communication with identified family members both in home country and the U.S., and the identification and vetting of potential sponsors. This individual will also be required to maintain communication with stakeholders in an effective and timely manner to ensure case continuity. Communication includes but is not limited to, email and phone communication with external stakeholders, case presentation during weekly staffing calls, scheduling of legal presentations, and collaboration with home study providers.

Compensation:

$73,000 to $78,000 per year annual salary.
