SAP Senior Solution Architect - SAP Spend Management/ Ariba

Location: Remote (anywhere in the US)

Overview

Optima Consulting is seeking a highly skilled SAP Senior Solution Architect with a focus on SAP Spend Management. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in Source to Pay processes within SAP Spend Management, particularly with Ariba solutions such as Buying and Invoicing, Commerce Automation, Supply Chain Collaboration, SAP Guided Buying for S/4HANA, and SAP Vendor Invoice Management by OpenText. Proficiency in working with S/4HANA is essential, and SAP ERP Sourcing and Procurement experience is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

Presales Activities

  • Solution Design: Collaborate with the sales team to design and present comprehensive SAP solutions that address customer needs, focusing on Source to Pay in SAP Spend Management with Ariba solutions, SAP Business Network, and invoice automation with SAP S/4HANA.
  • Client Engagement: Engage with prospective clients to understand their business requirements, pain points, and objectives.
  • Technical Presentations: Prepare and deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and proofs of concept to showcase the capabilities of SAP solutions.
  • Proposal Development: Develop detailed proposals, including solution architecture, implementation plans, timelines, and cost estimates.
  • RFP Responses: Lead the technical response to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Project Delivery

  • Solution Implementation: Oversee the implementation of Source to Pay solutions within SAP Spend Management, including Ariba, SAP Business Network, and S/4HANA, ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry best practices.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams throughout the project lifecycle, from planning to execution and post-implementation support.
  • Integration Management: Ensure seamless integration of Ariba solutions, such as Buying and Invoicing, Commerce Automation, Supply Chain Collaboration, SAP Guided Buying for S/4HANA, and SAP Cloud Integration Gateway (CIG), with existing SAP systems, including S/4HANA.
  • Vendor Invoice Management: Implement and optimize SAP Vendor Invoice Management by OpenText, enhancing efficiency and accuracy in invoice processing.
  • Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce quality assurance standards and processes to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Collaboration and Communication

  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including functional consultants, developers, and project managers, to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with the latest SAP technologies, industry trends, and best practices, and share knowledge with the team to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in SAP architecture, with a strong focus on Source to Pay processes within SAP Spend Management, Ariba solutions, SAP Business Network, and SAP Cloud Integration Gateway (CIG).
  • Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of S/4HANA, SAP Guided Buying for S/4HANA, SAP Vendor Invoice Management by OpenText, and SAP ERP Sourcing and Procurement.
  • Certifications: SAP and OpenText related certifications are desirable.
  • Presales Experience: Proven track record in presales activities, including solution design, proposal development, and client presentations.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Team Player: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and manage multiple priorities.
