Job description
Sr. Quality Control Analyst is responsible for overseeing all aspects of FlexPoint Inc’s QC Department, QC processes (pre-funding, post-closing, discretionary, etc.), QC Reporting, and QC systems to ensure high-quality loan production and compliance with regulatory, investor, and agency requirements.
This function will provide guidance and training to ensure the integrity of FlexPoint’s QC review process and loans. This position also involves significant interaction with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors, agencies, and regulators, regarding, among other things, QC findings, QC policies and procedures, and third-party findings.
Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive QC policies and procedures that align with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and agency/investor guidelines.
Ensure QC reviews and QC reports are completed and delivered in a consistent and timely manner.
Ensure QC reviews and QC processes comply with internal policies, federal and state laws and regulations, and agency/investor guidelines. This includes oversight of both routine audits and special investigations.
Research and analyze loan files as needed using internal and external resources.
Identify potential risks in the loan process and recommend/implement strategies to mitigate these risks, enhancing the overall quality and compliance of FlexPoint’s loan production.
Analyze audit results to identify trends and areas for improvement. Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management, offering insights and recommendations for process enhancements. Prepare and present reports relating to internal audits, external audits, regulatory audits, etc.
Serve as the primary liaison between the QC Department and other internal departments and employees, as well as external auditors, agencies, and regulatory bodies. Ensure clear and effective communication of QC Findings, rebuttals, and recommendations.
Maintain working knowledge of FlexPoint policies, procedures, and protocol, including investor requirements, regulatory agency requirements, and government guaranty/insuring (for FHA and VA) requirements. Continuously evaluate and enhance QC processes and tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness and to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements. Stay abreast of industry developments and incorporate new practices as appropriate.

Knowledge and Skills Required
In-depth knowledge of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, HUD, VA and other relevant guidelines and regulations. Ability to interpret and apply these regulations and guidelines to company practices.
Strong analytical skills to evaluate complex loan data and audit findings. Ability to derive actionable insights from data analysis.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex information clearly and persuasively.
Ability to identify root causes of loan quality issues and suggest/implement effective solutions.
