Senior Front-End Engineer

A pioneering company in the space technology sector is seeking a talented Senior Frontend Engineer to join their innovative team. This company is revolutionizing spacecraft operations by building cutting-edge software that allows users to design, test, and operate satellites with ease.

Whether it's capturing satellite imagery, enabling broadband/cellular services, or docking with other satellites, your work will directly influence mission-critical operations.

The Role

As a Senior Frontend Engineer , you’ll not only design and implement user interfaces that require minimal training but also have the potential to grow into a Lead role within the next year. We’re looking for someone with strong front-end engineering skills who can contribute to a slightly more customer-facing role.

You’ll work alongside another front-end developer and collaborate daily in an Agile Scrum environment with backend and platform developers. Your work will be front and centre, potentially displayed on giant screens in mission control centres, guiding real-time satellite operations.

What You’ll Do

• Create reusable React components in TypeScript to ensure consistency and efficiency.
• Utilize frameworks like Next.js and UI libraries such as Ant Design or Chakra.
• Collaborate with stakeholders using Figma to design and iterate on the UI.
• Fetch data using GraphQL and REST APIs for seamless backend integration.
• Implement identity and access management with tools like Auth0 or Okta, adhering to cloud security best practices.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and manage version control using Git/GitHub.
• Utilize AWS services, including ECS (Docker) and CloudWatch, for reliable deployment and monitoring.
• Maintain high software quality using test frameworks like Jest or Mocha.

What You’ll Need

Eligibility : Must be a U.S. citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, asylee, or eligible for required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Educational Background : Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Experience :

• 5+ years of professional front-end development experience.
• Strong expertise in React/TypeScript, with Next.js experience preferred.
• Experience in customer-facing engineering or design iterations is a plus.
• Experience of leading a small team
