Senior Data Scientist Description

We are seeking a resilient Senior Data Scientist to head Generative AI initiatives for the Advanced Analytics team.

As a key driver of our Generative AI initiatives, you will spearhead the development of innovative AI solutions, using techniques like prompt engineering and retrieval-augmented generation to elevate customer experience and personalization and streamline operations across sales, contact centers, underwriting, and claims. This position is crucial to advancing our AI strategy in Asia.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Data Engineers and IT SMEs to optimize large datasets, ensuring data readiness for Generative AI solutions
• Design and implement advanced machine learning models using techniques like RAG and multi-agent approaches to address complex business challenges
• Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and deploy solutions aligned with Generative AI patterns and company architecture
• Establish standardized practices, stay updated on AI advancements, and promote best-in-class Generative AI patterns to enhance the organization’s AI capabilities
• Be able to lead a team of Data Scientists and ML Engineers, focusing on talent management and building strong Gen AI capabilities in Asia

Requirements

• 4 years of experience in developing scalable Generative AI solutions for complex business challenges
• Expertise in data pipeline and ML architecture, especially on Azure; proficient in Python, R, SQL, and tools like LangChain and Llamaindex
• Experience in deploying Generative AI on Azure, Databricks, and Spark, with a focus on production scaling
• Strong communicator, adept at conveying complex data science concepts to all stakeholders, especially in RAG chatbot contexts
• Proven leadership in insurance analytics with Azure and OpenAI; demonstrated success in team mentorship and cross-functional collaboration
