Job Description

The Research Associate will contribute to the process development of upstream production for new products at a growing biotech company.

Responsibilities

• Perform experiments to optimize and scale upstream manufacturing processes.
• Conduct cell culture activities including expansion and cryo freezing.
• Assist other researchers in designing and conducting experiments.
• Work with a team to troubleshoot issues and develop solutions.
• Develop effective processes for GMP product manufacturing at scale

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Science and 0-2 yrs of relevant experience experience
• Strong cell culture experience, i.e. gained from an academic lab research role, an Internship, or a biotech / life sciences industry position
• Ideal experience is primary tissue culture / mammalian cell culture
• Alternatively, upstream or fill/finish manufacturing experience is also relevant.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with a team
• Collaboration skills
