Job Description

We are looking for dependable, self-motivated  Packaging, Flex, and Production Operators to support our weekend shift team in crafting the highest quality of cheeses. This position will train on week days and will transition to Weekends in August where they will typically work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 5:00am to 5:00pm with overtime as necessary with some overtime as necessary, includes competitive pay starting at $24.49/hour plus a $5.00 shift premium, full benefits, and monthly bonus opportunities!

Reports to:  Weekend Production Supervisor

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Work with Weekend Production Supervisor and production team to complete all tasks within the production areas
  • Performs product tests, records results, and makes necessary adjustments according to recipe specifications
  • Monitors, prepares, and changes equipment in the soft cheese packaging process
  • Remains aware of work environment sounds to detect abnormalities in equipment operation
  • Assists with all production runs and documenting all steps in packaging procedure to ensure accurate, consistent, safe, and quality products every time
  • Sanitation: Keep a clean work environment. Wash, rinse, sanitize and return all equipment back to its designated area immediately after done using. Complete time of use, daily, weekly, biweekly, and monthly sanitation scheduled responsibilities along with documentation once work is complete.
  • Follows all policies and procedures LaClare Creamery has implemented regarding food and personal safety to assist in maintaining a safe work environment and safe, quality products at all times.

  • Lift - be able to lift 50+lbs continuously, stand for 8 hours/day and occasionally twist, bend, climb, grasp and other repetitive movements
  • Flexible to various creamery environments including unloading, making, painting, packaging, aging, and shipping.
  • Training Requirements - Annually complete all trainings within LaClare Creamery Training Matrix
  • Annually complete HACCP training
