Position Overview

Our client organization is seeking an experienced Bilingual Korean/English speaking Private Client Wealth Manager to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building and managing relationships with high-net-worth clients, providing comprehensive financial planning, investment management, and wealth preservation strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage relationships with high-net-worth clients, understanding their financial goals, risk tolerance, and investment preferences.
  • Source clients and help to close and build the book of business providing white-glove client service.
  • In partnership with our client’s investment solutions team, develop financial planning and wealth management proposals that may include investment portfolio management, retirement planning, estate planning, and tax optimization.
  • Conduct regular reviews of client portfolios and financial plans, providing insights and recommendations based on market trends and changes in client circumstances.
  • Collaborate with clients’ other external advisors, including trust and estate planners, tax advisors, and insurance brokers, to deliver holistic financial solutions.
  • Stay informed about (and remain conversant in) market trends, investment products, and regulatory changes to provide clients with the best possible advice.
  • Actively participate in networking and business development activities to attract new clients and expand the firm’s presence in the market.
  • Provide exceptional client service, ensuring timely communication and addressing client inquiries and concerns.
  • The role will also be supported with internal resources and teams as needed to originate businesses.
  • The role can potentially adopt an existing business within 2 years.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or MBA in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree or professional designation (e.g., CFP, CFA ) strongly preferred . Brokerage and insurance securities license not required, but candidate should hold Series 63 or 65 Investment Adviser Representative license.
  • 5 to 10+ years of experience as a Private Client Wealth Manager or in a similar role, with a demonstrated ability to originate and manage high-net-worth client relationships.
  • Must have a strong understanding of investment strategies, asset allocation, financial markets, estate planning, and tax implications. Does not need to be a stock picker, but should be competent in understanding and recommending asset allocation based on the results of a financial plan.
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills, with a client-centric white glove approach.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while being self-motivated and goal-oriented.
  • Possess a great personality to fit into their welcoming and family-oriented work environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Fluent in Korean and English
