Position Title: Environmental Health & Safety - Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator
Location: Beaumont,TX
Status: Contract – 24 months, with the opportunity for possible conversion to permanent/full-time employment with the client.
Status : On-Site
Pay Range -$37.00-$49.00 HR

Who we are looking for / Requirements:

• Our client is seeking an environmental and Health &Safety Specialist to Develop, document, and implement programs to deliver Environmental, Health, and Safety for the Client account. This position will report to the facility EHS Manager. This position will work to ensure adequate oversight of EHS programs and realize continuous improvement of EHS programs.
• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent. 
• 3+ years' experience in an EHS manufacturing role. 
• Well-versed in OSHA Regulations. 
• Strong experience in managing/handling chemicals and hazardous materials. 
• Proficient in Microsoft Office/Google Suite. 
• Self-starter and strong attention to detail. 
• Experience in Process Safety and Process Safety Management (PSM) is highly preferred.

What you will do / Responsibilities:

• Use expertise in EHS disciplines to oversee EHS programs and lead continuous improvement efforts.
• Implement new environmental health and safety programs and initiatives.
• Support incident investigations through analysis of incident root cause data, development of effective countermeasures to prevent recurrence and communication of key lessons learned.
• Conduct regular walkthroughs of chemical production areas, providing feedback to the manager.
• Support the Operations team in the safe production of products.
• Work with all teams across the site to further EHS performance and goals.
• Prepare and deliver content to management teams and front line employees (e.g. training, progress reports, recommendations, etc.)
• Assist in the implementation of emergency response programs.
• Participate in routine hazard assessments and make recommendations.
• Participate in audits of all areas of the facility and regularly audit EHS documentation.
• Assists in training of new hires on EHS topics.
• Standardize and document EHS processes.
