Role Summary Role: Logistics Manager
Location
: Fremont, CA.
About the Role The Logistics Manager will be responsible for managing and optimizing the logistics operations of the company. S/he will play a critical role in ensuring smooth transportation, distribution, and storage of goods. The Logistics Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategies for efficient supply chain management and implement logistics systems and tools. They will also oversee trade compliance and optimize for tax and trade-associated costs. The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of experience in logistics roles, particularly in automotive or other large vehicle logistics. S/he should be capable of managing day-to-day tactical logistics activities while also building mid- and long-term strategies to optimize speed, cost, and overall efficiency.
Responsibilities - Manage and optimize the international and domestic transportation, distribution, and storage of goods
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategies for efficient supply chain management
- Implement logistics systems and tools to improve operational efficiency
- Oversee trade compliance and optimize for tax and trade-associated costs
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods throughout the supply chain
- Monitor logistics operations and identify areas for improvement
- Manage relationships with logistics service providers
- Forecast and plan for future logistics needs
- Track and analyze logistics KPIs
- Train and develop team members to enhance logistics capabilities
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field; MBA a plus
- 8-10 years of experience in logistics roles
- Experience in automotive or other large vehicle logistics
- Capable of managing day-to-day tactical logistics activities and building mid- and long-term strategies
- Experience implementing logistics systems and tools
- Strong understanding of trade compliance and optimization for tax and trade-associated costs
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Detail-oriented and data-driven with a focus on accuracy
