We seek a highly organized, detail-oriented, and strategic Landman to support our mineral acquisitions team and contribute to business development. This role is ideal for a driven individual who can balance precision in project documentation with proactive deal sourcing and negotiations.

About Us

Millennium PetroCapital Corporation is an 18-year-old oil and gas development company specializing in distressed assets and bypassed-pay re-entry projects across the Gulf Coast Basin of Texas. Using a data-driven approach, we identify and develop underutilized hydrocarbon reserves.

Our core values—Vision, Accountability, Tenacity, and Teamwork—have earned us industry recognition, including:

  • Finalist for the Torch Award for Marketplace Ethics (Better Business Bureau)
  • San Antonio Business Journal’s Best Places to Work

Key Responsibilities

  • Title and Lease Analysis: Conduct due diligence on mineral rights, lease agreements, and ownership structures to ensure clean acquisitions.
  • Project Documentation: Manage and review acquisition paperwork to maintain compliance with regulatory and legal standards.
  • Deal Sourcing and Business Development: Identify and assess new leasehold opportunities to expand Millennium PetroCapital’s portfolio of bypassed-pay assets.
  • Negotiation and Communication: Work with mineral owners, brokers, and internal stakeholders to facilitate transactions and optimize lease terms.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to Texas Railroad Commission (RRC) regulations and all applicable legal requirements.

Ideal Candidate Traits

  • Methodical and Detail-Oriented: Strong ability to accurately manage contracts, land title research, and compliance paperwork.
  • Driven and Strategic: Proactive in identifying and pursuing viable acquisition opportunities.
  • Resilient and Adaptable: Capable of balancing independent work with structured corporate processes.
  • Persuasive Communicator: Skilled in negotiations and relationship-building with mineral owners and industry stakeholders.
  • Analytical Thinker: Able to evaluate risk factors and investment potential in prospective leasehold deals.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in petroleum land management, acquisitions, or a related field.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Energy Management, Petroleum Land Management, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Familiarity with Gulf Coast Basin geology and historical lease activity preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of title examination, contract negotiations, and RRC regulations.
  • Proficiency in land management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of a fast-growing company specializing in the redevelopment of legacy wells.
  • Work alongside a dynamic team focused on maximizing untapped energy reserves.
  • Sourcing and structuring deals play a key role in the company’s expansion.
  • We offer competitive compensation and performance incentives.

We encourage you to apply if you are a motivated and meticulous Landman looking for an opportunity to drive acquisitions and business development in a results-driven environment.
