Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an IT Program Manager to join a leading healthcare organization, to oversee project governance, portfolio management, and continuous process improvement. This role ensures accurate project tracking, effective governance, and seamless project execution within our IS PMO framework.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update project portfolio information, ensuring accuracy.
  • Support project managers in overseeing project delivery, governance, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor project status, risks, dependencies, and escalations at the portfolio level.
  • Drive adoption of IS PMO processes and tools for improved project quality.
  • Guide project requests through the PMO portfolio phase process.
  • Provide coaching, training, and leadership in IS PMO practices.
  • Approve portfolio reports, dashboards, and project documentation.
  • Offer strategic guidance on portfolio and project management improvements.
  • Lead and facilitate training for new project managers.
  • Manage individual programs as needed, ensuring project goals and success factors are met.
  • Collaborate with IS leaders and project managers on planning, funding, and resource allocation.
  • Conduct project reviews and assessments, preparing executive summaries for leadership.
  • Assist with IT budget planning, business case reviews, and project prioritization.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external standards in Health & Safety, Quality, Regulatory, and Finance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of IT project leadership experience.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale projects across the full lifecycle.
  • Experience in business transformation and transition projects.
  • Strong mentorship experience with project managers.
  • Background in large healthcare organizations with the ability to foster cross-functional relationships.
  • Preferred Certifications: Prince2, MSP, or PMP.
