The High Income and Alternatives Technology team is looking for a hardworking, highly motivated software engineer with strong understanding of programming fundamentals, software design and with strong bend towards quantitative development to join their ranks. Prior quantitative development experience in investment management domain will be a strong plus

In this role, you will be responsible for the development of quality software components that are used by Portfolio Managers, and Analysts in managing of over $100 Billion in High Yield, Credit Alternatives, and Systematic Investment Research Funds. You will have chance to engage, shape and productively contribute to Alphabet, our flagship portfolio construction platform.

In addition to building software, you will have an opportunity to help define and implement development practices, standards, and strategies across multiple teams.

This position can be in Merrimack, or BostonThe Expertise We Need
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a quantitative or computational field such as Computer Science, Statistics, or Applied Mathematics.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience working with investment management professionals preferably in building complex software solutions using analytical and quantitative concepts.
  • Proven significant exposure to either Equities, Fixed Income or Alternative Asset classes
  • Understanding of Fixed Income instruments, security analytics, investment workflow and functioning of bond markets is a significant plus.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with multiple stakeholders including fundamental and quantitative researchers, portfolio managers and technology partners.
  • Full-stack software development knowledge preferably with Angular, Java, SpringBoot
  • A great plus to have skills and experience in Python, SQL, and Linux.
  • Experience with AWS cloud environment development and deployment is a plus.
  • Kubernetes/EKS deployment and operations management exposure is a plus.
  • Favor Agile development practices that prioritize the incremental delivery of working software and respond well to change in requirement scope.
  • Progress towards CFA program certification is a significant plus.
