Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Electronics Production Test Technician to join our clients manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic assemblies down to the component level. You will play a key role in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), working closely with customers, engineers, and the manufacturing team to ensure products meet quality standards before shipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform testing and troubleshooting of electronic assemblies to the board and component level.
  • Identify and repair issues using advanced soldering and wiring skills.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Manufacturing, Customers, and the Engineering team during customer-witnessed Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT).
  • Interpret and work from technical documents, including schematics, drawings, wiring charts, and operating instructions.
  • Document and correct deficiencies discovered during testing and FAT processes.
  • Identify material shortages and collaborate with the materials team to expedite components as needed.
  • Design and build test fixtures for new and existing products.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of circuit changes for obsolete components.
  • Generate and maintain accurate test data records and ensure data is archived and retrievable.
  • Assist in creating and reviewing technical drawings, procedures, and bills of material.
  • Support procurement and identification of tools required for safe and efficient testing.
  • Maintain a safety-first mindset and adhere to all safety procedures and protocols.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Electronics or equivalent technical certification/experience.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting digital and analog circuits to the component level.
  • Excellent soldering and wiring skills.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to understand and interpret technical documentation and drawings.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working directly with customers in a manufacturing or testing environment.
  • Experience designing and building test fixtures.
  • Knowledge of creating and reviewing technical documentation such as procedures and bills of material (BOM).
  • Experience working with obsolete component replacements and implementing circuit changes.
  • Familiarity with scheduling production orders and maintaining databases for test data tracking.
