Headquartered in Birmingham, AL, our field operations are located throughout the Appalachian Basin in the states of Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. In 2021, Diversified announced our expansion into our Central Regional Focus Area, which includes producing areas within Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas.

Responsibilities: The EH&S – Environmental Specialist will report to the Operations Environmental Manager and focus time predominantly in our Pennsylvania and Ohio locations. The position can sit in any of our Pennsylvania offices. This role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable local, state, and federal laws/regulations and DGOC internal policies and procedures.Special focus will be placed on: Application of knowledge of SPCC, GPP, HWCP, PPC, SWPPP and SPRP plans as necessary to comply with regulatory requirements.Support environmental regulatory compliance with inspection and record review.Inspect tanks and associated equipment for compliance with environmental regulation.Support the implementation of environmental practices and processes associated with the design, construction, operation and reclamation of well pads, natural gas pipelines, compressor stations, etc.Inspect sites for environmental compliance from the construction phase through reclamation.Track environmental findings from DEP inspections & internal inspections, work with operations to address any findingsPrepare and provide compliance training to various departments and contractors on requirements and best practicesManage waste disposal from production & compression facilities including obtaining profiles, preparing compliance reports and maintaining recordsGood working knowledge of spill clean-up regulations, policies and procedures mainly in PA & Ohio. With the ability to respond in a timely manner to help operation evaluate, mitigate, and remediate spills. Qualifications: POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in environmental sciences or a closely related field. A combination of experience and/or education will be considered in lieu of a degree At least three years of experience which demonstrates a thorough understanding of environmental regulations and issues pertaining to oil and gas operations Demonstrated knowledge of the construction side of the oil and gas business Must have a history of successfully working on environmental compliance issues Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills Basic computer skills to include knowledge of Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint Ability to prepare reports, exercise discretion when dealing with confidential information, and the ability to keep records, analyze and summarize raw data, to fill out and submit summary and regulatory reports Ability to work well and communicate with all levels of the team Ability to work independently Ability to work on a diverse multi-disciplinary team Ability to manage 3rd party contractors Active listening skills The ability to travel within WV, PA, OH, KY, VA and TN regions Knowledge of environmental regulations in WV, PA, OH, KY, VA and TN
