Job Description

We’re seeking a motivated and experienced Driver Recruiter to join our growing team in the Charleston, SC 29418 area . Candidates in the Savannah area will also be considered. This is a critical role focused on sourcing and securing top-tier CDL drivers with port experience in container operations and 3PL warehouse logistics.

What You’ll Do:

  • Partner with hiring managers to assess driver needs and implement tailored recruitment strategies
  • Source candidates using online platforms, job boards, social media, industry networks, and in-person events
  • Screen, interview, and evaluate driver candidates to ensure qualifications and cultural fit
  • Coordinate interviews and assist hiring managers throughout the selection process
  • Conduct background checks and ensure compliance with DOT and FMCSA regulations
  • Maintain detailed and up-to-date records in the applicant tracking system
  • Cultivate relationships with CDL schools, trucking associations, and other industry contacts
  • Stay current with transportation industry trends, particularly around port operations and 3PL logistics
  • Collaborate with HR to ensure smooth and compliant onboarding of new drivers

What You Bring:

  • Prior driver recruiting experience, ideally within the transportation or logistics sectors
  • Deep understanding of CDL Class A driver qualifications and port/container-related requirements
  • Strong knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations and driver qualification files
  • Familiarity with 3PL warehouse logistics and related operational demands
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience with ATS platforms and digital recruitment tools
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and in team settings
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, HR, or a related field (preferred but not required)
