Director of Rehabilitation Services

Duties and Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Implement guidelines for rehabilitation programs - physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and other therapies.
• Develop and carry out policies and procedures pertaining to staffing and budget
• Ensure all staff members are following guidelines for patient care and safety.
• Review patient cases to determine eligibility for treatment services
• Monitor treatment and progress of patients.
• Establish timetable for patient goals to be reached
• Participate in case review with other team members to make sure the patient's plan of care is progressing as expected
• Provide input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility.
• Resolve escalated issues arising from operations that require coordination with other departments.
• Recommend hiring of new staff members to fill vacancies in the department
• Training staff member on topics such as communication skills or conflict resolution techniques.

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree and PT/OT license in New Jersey
• 1-2 years of Supervisory or Management experience
• Time management and strong organizational skills
• Skilled nursing facility: 1 year (Required)
• supervisory: 1 year (Required)

• 8 hour shift
