Job Description

Akkodis is seeking a Data Center Technician for a Contract job with a client in Las Vegas, NV . The candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues within hardware and software infrastructure.

Rate Range: $22/hour to $25/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Data Center Technician job responsibilities include:

• Troubleshooting and resolving issues within hardware and software infrastructure, including servers, storage, and networking components.
• Performing installation, maintenance, and component replacement tasks, as well as hardware troubleshooting and operating system installation.
• Analyzing and utilizing software tools to support day-to-day functions and resolve issues in a data center environment.
• Performing high-volume, low-impact tasks efficiently, with minimal guidance.
• Managing operational tasks, including addressing escalations and clearing blocking issues to ensure continuous data center support.
• Demonstrating hands-on knowledge of data center systems, policies, and best practices.
• Documenting daily activities and maintaining organized records.
• Communicating effectively with management, peers, and customers at all levels.
• Working outside of standard business hours, weekends, and traveling to customer sites as needed.

Desired Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 3-5 years of technical experience in a data center environment.
• Experience with hardware, storage systems, and networking components.
• Proficiency in Linux, Virtualization, and Windows Server environments is a plus.

Pay Details: $22.00 to $25.00 per hour
