Role: Data Analyst III
Location: Onsite at New York, NY
Duration: 8-month contract on W2 (potential extension)
Data Analysts drive how the UX Research function is powered at our client by empowering Research leaders to integrate business data into their daily decisions as well as longer-term investments. The Data Analyst role in the team will work alongside UX Researchers, Research Program Managers, and Research leaders to identify, track, and solve issues that advance the efficiency.
The ideal candidate will have strong consultative, communication, analytical, data/dashboard building, and storytelling skills and will thrive managing concurrent projects while working with a cross-functional team to drive outcomes. We are looking for someone who enjoys building, figuring out the best way to achieve results, and working closely with a diverse set of teams. We need someone who enjoys operating in ambiguity and who uses creativity to combat challenges.
4-6 Years of Experience in Data Analytics
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Connect global data and strategies to functional data in order to create team-specific analytics and reporting.
Support Research Operations teams in translating their goals for the business into reliable metrics; work with program leaders to identify the best KPIs for their respective teams. This may involve mapping existing data to program goals or advocating for the building of new data channels.
Act as an internal consultant by understanding business needs, scoping data requests, synthesizing insights, and recommending solutions to managers in collaboration with relevant cross-functional teams.
Apply expertise in quantitative analysis and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and create actionable recommendations.
Manage multiple concurrent projects that require inputs from cross-functional stakeholders while balancing impact on business needs.
Deliver analytical results to technical and non-technical audiences and partner with them to identify the right actions.
Leverage tools, such as SQL, Tableau, Salesforce Tableau CRM (fka Einstein Analytics) and Excel to build and drive analytics and to enable client self-service on routine queries, as well as to design/run/deliver ongoing reporting and dashboards.
Must-Have Skills:
Tableau - 2-3 years of experience
Salesforce - Einstein Analytics or something similar
SQL
Minimum Qualifications:
BA/BS with 4+ years (or master's with 3+ years) of data analytics experience focused on using data to uncover insights
Strong project management skills, experience creating project plans and business requirement documents
Strong relationship management; knows how to work with people well but also work autonomously
Advanced experience building dashboards in Tableau and knowledge of data visualization best practices
Advanced experience in SQL or other programming languages
Intermediate experience with Salesforce CRM Analytics (fka Einstein Analytics) dashboards and reporting (e.g., managing recipes, building new data sets, maintaining/building dashboards), Salesforce Tableau CRM
Experience gathering and interpreting data
Experience influencing stakeholders using data
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced experience in Salesforce Tableau CRM (e.g., managing recipes, building new data sets, maintaining/building dashboards)
Knowledge of statistical analysis (e.g., descriptive statistics and knowledge of statistical significance)
Experience working on a product operations/support function in big tech or other large companies.
