CNC Programmer

Employment Type: Full-Time | On-Site

Salary: $70k-$85k (based on experience)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented CNC Programmer to join our team. This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for creating efficient and accurate CNC programs (primarily in Mastercam), supporting setup processes, and collaborating with engineering and production to ensure precision, quality, and throughput on the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and optimize CNC programs using Mastercam
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering documentation
• Support setup and operation of 3-axis and 5-axis mills and CNC lathes
• Select proper tooling, feeds, and speeds based on material and design specs
• Perform test runs and troubleshoot programming issues
• Revise and improve existing programs for efficiency and cycle time reduction
• Work closely with machinists, quality inspectors, and project engineers
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in a regulated environment

Qualifications

• 3+ years of CNC programming experience (preferably in a job shop or high-precision environment)
• Proficiency in Mastercam is a must
• Strong understanding of machining principles , G-code, and CAD/CAM workflows
• Ability to work from tight-tolerance blueprints and specifications
• Solid understanding of materials, tooling, and machining strategies
• Experience in aerospace, defense, medical , or similar high-tolerance industries preferred
• Mechanical aptitude, good communication skills, and team-first mindset
