What You Will Do

Plating Wastewater Treatment:

– Engineer and fine-tune chemical treatment systems for electroplating wastewater, developing advanced solutions for metal recovery, pH control, and heavy metal removal.

– Drive initiatives that challenge conventional practices and set new benchmarks in contaminant management and environmental performance.

Analytical Support:

– Leverage cutting-edge laboratory equipment to perform detailed chemical analyses that ensure the highest water quality standards.

– Identify and troubleshoot process failures, transforming challenges into opportunities for continuous improvement.

Process Improvements:

– Lead cross-functional projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, reducing waste, and lowering overall operating costs.

– Integrate new technologies and methodologies that redefine wastewater treatment processes in the plating sector.

Regulatory Excellence:

– Ensure every process complies with local, state, and federal environmental regulations, preparing and presenting data-driven reports to regulatory agencies.

– Stay ahead of evolving environmental laws and standards, positioning the team as industry trailblazers.

Collaborate & Lead:

– Manage key projects and collaborate with diverse teams across operations, environmental, and health & safety domains.

– Provide technical training and mentorship, ensuring a high-performing team that shares a commitment to innovation and excellence.

What We’re Looking For

• A Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in the plating industry or wastewater treatment, with a solid background in chemical processes and laboratory analysis.

• Proven expertise in using analytical instruments such as atomic absorption spectroscopy, titration, and pH measurement to monitor and optimize water quality.

• Deep understanding of electroplating processes and associated wastewater challenges.

• Mastery of chemical treatment methods including precipitation, flocculation, and chemical oxidation.

• Familiarity with environmental regulations and compliance standards (EPA, OSHA).

• Ability to thrive in both laboratory and field environments, utilizing engineering software tools for process simulation and data analysis.
