Our core business consists of creating custom-designed security solutions for our customers. We install, maintain, monitor, and inspect a wide range of integrated building protection systems, including access control, video camera surveillance, fire alarms, and burglar alarms. We prioritize service after the sale because we want to ensure our security solutions exceed our customer’s expectations, not just for today, but for years to come.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update financial records by recording daily transactions, including income, expenses, and payroll.
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts regularly.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable efficiently.
  • Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting and forecasting.
  • Assist with payroll processing and ensure tax compliance.
  • Prepare and manage multi state sales tax filings.
  • Prepare tax filings and assist with audits when necessary.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external accountants to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Support in managing financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements.
  • Handle additional administrative tasks related to financial operations as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Netsuite or Quickbooks) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is a plus.
  • Familiarity with payroll processing and tax regulations is desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in bookkeeping or accounting (e.g., AIPB, CPAs, etc.) is a plus.
  • Experience with managing a small business’s finances or in an industry-specific setting is an advantage.
The pay range for this role is:
60,000 - 80,000 USD per year(Birmingham)
