Ghana’s Struggle with Enduring Government Corruption

Iran has recorded a major surge in its non-oil exports to Africa, with figures doubling in the first six months of the current Iranian calendar year (beginning 21 March, 2025), according to the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI).
Mohammad-Reza Safari, head of TPOI’s Africa Department, announced that Iran exported $675 million worth of non-oil goods to African nations between March and September, marking a sharp rise compared to the same period last year.
Safari stressed that this growth came despite ongoing international sanctions, noting that “several African countries have shown strong interest in expanding commercial ties with Iran.” He described Africa as one of the most promising and underserved markets for Iranian traders, offering wide opportunities across agriculture, energy, construction, pharmaceuticals, and technology.
To capitalize on this momentum, Iran is preparing to host the Iran-Africa Summit in Tehran in the next Iranian calendar year, starting 21 March, 2026, an event expected to deepen political dialogue, unlock new trade corridors, and push Iran’s economic footprint further into the African continent.
