As Usual, Malawi Turns to the International Community to Validate Its Elections

Great Zimbabwe University (GZU) has announced the sudden death of one of its campus radio presenters, Tavita Natasha Mpala, who tragically collapsed while on duty and was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.
In a statement issued on Friday, October 17, 2025, the university described Mpala, widely known as Natasha Mala on air as a “vibrant, passionate, and dedicated” member of the GZU Campus Radio team.
The Zimbabwe Union of Journalists (ZUJ) also paid tribute to Mpala, describing her as one of the most talented young broadcasters in the country and a rising star in Zimbabwe’s media industry.
Her sudden death has sent shockwaves through the university community and the national media fraternity, with colleagues and listeners mourning the loss of a promising voice in campus and national broadcasting.
